Born on Leap Year Day in 1929, Ralph Earnhardt grew up in Kannapolis, NC and became one of the best dirt-track racers this country has ever produced. His talent for broadsliding cars through the turns was undeniable and his grim determination to be successful in his chosen field was evident in the focused way he went about his business.
