Edwina (Winkie) Louise, Miss Firebird - When Linda Vaughn moved from Miss Firebird to take a public relations job with Hurst, Pure Oil Co introduced "Winkie" Louise to the stock car racing public - and it was a great marriage from the start. "Wink" represented Pure Oil during the late Sixties and early Seventies at an average of 28 major races each season, beginning with the Daytona 500. Part of her duties included greeting the race winner in Victory Lane and doing other public relations activities on behalf of Pure Oil.
